Nomita Pothuluri, M.D.
The Clinic for Autism has been established by Nomita Pothuluri, M.D. and Komalam Jairaj, Ph.D., R.D. Nomita Pothuluri, M.D. is a Family Practice physician who graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in 1998 and completed her residency from the UAMS Area Health Education Center in 2001. Upon graduation she moved to Kingwood, Texas and has been practicing Family Medicine in various clinics in the region. Komalam Jairaj, Ph.D., R.D., has a Ph.D. in Nutrition from Kansas State University and is a Registered Dietitian with a Texas License. Drs. Pothuluri and Jairaj became interested in Autism Spectrum Disorders in 2006 and decided to learn as much as possible in order to treat autistic patients. After attending several conferences including Defeat Autism Now! seminars they developed a greater interest in providing a service for the individuals and families afflicted by this complex disorder. Thus began the journey towards opening the Clinic for Autism.
The Clinic is designed to diagnose and treat Autism Spectrum Disorders. The Clinic will provide diagnostic lab testing, nutritional counseling, and biomedical treatments. The treatments will be largely based on Defeat Autism Now! principles. The Clinic is conveniently located in north Houston off Highway 59 North in Humble, Texas. The goal of the Clinic will be to provide a holistic approach to each patient and their family and be a liaison for patient care coordination. With the help of the community, patients, parents, and clinicians the Clinic for Autism would like to become a"one stop shop for the understanding, diagnosis, testing, treatment, and benefit of all autistic patients."
